Eileen Peterson graduated from Northwestern State University in the spring of 2012. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Theatre, and double concentrations in Directing and Performance and Musical Theatre Performance. Eileen graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 3.8 GPA. She was also a member of Phi Kappa Phi.
During college Eileen not only studied acting and singing, but also took interest in Dialect Work, Technical Theatre, Improv, and Viewpoints. Aside from her passion for singing and acting, Eileen has developed a passion for costuming and costume crafts. She has costumed designed many shows at the collegiate and professional levels. Eileen has learned and practiced skills in lighting, carpentry, fabrication, scene painting, make-up and hair, as well as wig ventilation.
In July 2012 Eileen began working as an Associate Company Member at Playhouse on the Square. Eileen worked in the costume shop during her time there as well as performing in many musicals during the 2012 - 2013 season. In August of 2013, Eileen combined her longing to travel with the excitement of a theatre job and moved to Paju, South Korea, where she worked as and Edutainer, bringing the English language to Korean students through musical performance.
